First we assess your posture. You will stand in front of the MAP (a posture measuring device). A little roller
will glide down your spine duplicating the exact curve of your spine on a grid for the clinician. The clinician will
enter co-ordinates from the MAP grid into computer software that will print out a graph of your spine as compared to
the normal spine. This printout will let the clinician know where improvement is needed.
Based on this printout
and physical information about you, the clinician will determine the best course of treatment for you.

You may be asked to walk on a treadmill while unweighted. That means you will be on a treadmill under an unweighing
system wearing a harness to insure your safety. While you are walking forward, sideways and backward the clinician
will assess your gait. Many problems with the back are directly related to improper gait. Your gait assesment,
the MAP print out and your personal history will give the clinician all the information to personalize a treatment plan
that will address your needs.

You may be set up in the Pneu-Back Chair to exercise the tiny muscles along your spine. The Back Chair
holds your legs down while you push back into specific points determined by the clinician and the mapping printout.
These little pushes train the muscles along your spine making them stronger and able to support your body the way it was designed.
The result of this exercising can literally pull your spine into the correct posture.
